When anguish comes thumping
There’s no one home
Gone out gallavanting
And I'm here all alone
 

Anguish comes thumping
Week after week
I try not to heed
But it caused my heart to bleed

But anguish comes thumping
Day after day day
Oh please just go away
And leave me in peace

Anguish comes thumping
What does he really fancy?
Is he here to lodge?
Or simply enjoy goading me?
